What Happens During Pregnancy Weeks 19 to 25?


Second Trimester pt2 At 19-25 weeks [17-23 weeks after conception], downy hair covers the developing baby's body. Melanin production begins. The developing baby can swallow and suck. Its sense of taste and touch have developed and it responds to sounds. Eyebrows and eyelashes can be seen, and the hands are fully developed.

These changes are the cause of many of the unpleasant symptoms of early pregnancy such as lightheadedness and dizziness, nausea, extreme fatigue, cravings, constipation, bloating and frequent urination.
