Proud Parents Welcome Britain's First Set Of 2022 Twins After Suffering Miscarriages
Two parents have spoken of their double delight after welcoming Britain's first set of twins this year in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Brigitta Suha, 32, and husband Norbert, 35, are celebrating the birth of their daughters Veronika and Viktoria - who were born just 35 minutes apart on Saturday.
Brigitta went into an induced labour about at 10pm on New Year's Eve at University Hospital Coventry, due to her pregnancy being high-risk.
Veronika was born at 2.54am weighing 5lbs 11oz and was followed shortly by Viktoria at 3.29am weighing 5lb 3oz - becoming the hospital's first-ever set of New Year twins.
