How to Have an Eco-Friendly Childbirth?

So if you haven't considered doing a drug-free birth, you might want to do some research into how the drugs that are given to you during a traditional birth can affect your baby.

Because when you learn about how it might slow your baby down, the baby's ability, inhibit the baby's ability to latch on for breast feeding, it might make you reconsider.

Also, as someone who had a drug-free home birth, I can tell you that the pain that you might be concerned about is not really that bad.

I literally made zero sound when I pushed my baby out and I attribute this to a few things. One, don't think about the pain. Why dwell on it? If it's there, it's there. If it's not, it's not. Awesome.

Secondly, this is not pain like you've done something wrong to your body like where you've broken a bone. Okay you're not supposed to break your bones, that's why it feels really bad, and it lasts a long time, that pain.

The beauty of birth is that your body is supposed to do this. It's just kind of like when you go into a yoga pose, and you go to an extreme position that is challenging for you, but you're not hurting your body.

Thirdly, when the birth is over you have this gift, and that makes all the pain literally disappear. You don't even remember it. Not to mention all the wonderful chemicals that mother nature gives you in order to forget the pain and forget about all of the work that you just went through.

So, greening your birth is all about keeping your body as a temple and trying to keep all of the chemicals out of it that can cause harm to both you and to your child.
