Can My Baby Kicks Predict the Baby Gender? Boy or Girl Pregnancy

The baby gender is a common topic that makes pregnant women curious.  They often ask questions as to who kicks more during pregnancy boys or girls? Can you predict the gender of your baby using the pattern of the baby movements? In this video, we answer those questions and more.

Every pregnancy is different and some babies are more active than others. There are also variations on the movement of your baby depending on the time of the day and other factors. It is difficult to know if you are carrying a boy or girl by focusing on the movements.

Research showed that male fetuses tend to be more active compared to their female counterparts. Perception of the fetal kicks depends on factors such as the position of the placenta. Those pregnancies with anterior placenta tend to perceive less movement early in the pregnancy.

The more accurate ways to determine the baby gender are the ultrasound scan in the second trimester, amniocentesis, fetal cell-free DNA, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
