A Fort Pierce, Florida, couple shared their ʀᴏʟʟᴇʀ ᴄᴏᴀsᴛᴇʀ of a ride experience ᴛʀʏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴋᴇᴇᴘ their newborn twins, Hawk and Mason, ᴀʟɪᴠᴇ.
Their parents, Tommy Buchmayer and Brandy Guettler, couldn’t be happier about their twins. Both of them were ʙᴏʀɴ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴀᴛᴜʀᴇʟʏ. The ⓃⒾⒸⓊ ɪɴ Fᴏʀᴛ Pɪᴇʀᴄᴇ, Fʟᴏʀɪᴅᴀ is the place where the twins were getting ᴛᴇsᴛᴇᴅ. But upon birth, Hawk immediately experienced sᴇʀɪᴏᴜs ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ ᴘʀᴏʙʟᴇᴍs. Hawk Buchmeyer was born with ᴀ Cᴏɴɢᴇɴɪᴛᴀʟ Dɪᴀᴘʜʀᴀɢᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ Hᴇʀɴɪᴀ, ᴀ ʜᴏʟᴇ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅɪᴀᴘʜʀᴀɢᴍ ᴇɴᴀʙʟɪɴɢ ᴀ ʙᴀʙʏ’s ᴏʀɢᴀɴs ᴛᴏ ᴍᴏᴠᴇ ɪɴᴛᴏ ʜɪs ᴄʜᴇsᴛ. Tʜᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴ ᴀFFᴇᴄᴛs ᴏɴᴇ ɪɴ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ 2,500 ʙᴀʙɪᴇs, ᴀᴄᴄᴏʀᴅɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ Bᴏsᴛᴏɴ Cʜɪʟᴅʀᴇɴ’s Hᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ, ᴏɴᴇ ᴏF ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴏᴘ U.S. ᴘᴇᴅɪᴀᴛʀɪᴄ ɪɴsᴛɪᴛᴜᴛɪᴏɴs.
The ᴅᴏᴄᴛᴏʀs were doing everything in their power to sᴀᴠᴇ ʜɪᴍ. Hawk underwent sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ. His parents opened up a page in those ʜᴀʀᴅ ᴛɪᴍᴇs to keep their siblings updated on the boy’s progress. A day before the ʀɪsᴋʏ sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ, Mason was feeling fussy, and thanks to a ɴᴜʀsᴇ in the ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ, both of the boys were laid next to each other. Brandy said :”So we laid him there and all of the sudden as soon as he felt Hawk, he reached his arm out and grabbed him and just started to smile. The two of them knew they were there for each other.”
They wrote: “This picture was taken a 11 days after they were born, it’s the first time they have ever touched and as soon as Mason felt Hawk he reached out for his arm and smiled this big . We thought it was time for everyone pulling for our boy to see this picture.” The photo went viral, attracting a deluge of messages of support from thousands of people who had never met the family. Our ʜᴇᴀʀᴛs are sᴀᴅᴅᴇɴᴇᴅ this morning as our sweet little man was called home to be with Jᴇsᴜs, Hawk’s family wrote in a Facebook post on a page created for the kids. “He went ᴠᴇʀʏ ᴘᴇᴀᴄᴇFᴜʟʟʏ and we know he’s ɴᴏ ʟᴏɴɢᴇʀ sᴜFFᴇʀɪɴɢ. I want to send my ᴄᴏɴᴅᴏʟᴇɴᴄᴇs to the family of this baby angel Hawk.”
