Toddler Left With 'Batman Mask' Due To Rare Skin Condition That Causes Dark Patches
A toddler battling a rare skin condition that gives her a 'Batman mask' is heading to Russia for treatment.
Luna Fenner was born with Congenital Melanotic Nevus - an abnormally dark skin patch composed of pigment-producing cells called melanocytes.
It affects just 1.5 per cent of the world's population and puts sufferers at an increased risk of developing a cancerous melanoma.
In Luna's case, she was born with a large dark 'nevus' on her face which is reminiscent of a Batman mask.
Her mum Carol, 35, of south Florida, has been searching for a treatment and only found doctors in the US willing to perform laser surgery.
