CNN anchor and Chief National Affairs Analyst Kasie Hunt and her husband, Matthew Mario Rivera, welcomed their second baby on the bathroom floor of their D.C. home. Rivera delivered their daughter, Grey Hunt Rivera, on March 1 after a 13-minute labor.

Hunt revealed her second child with husband Matthew Mario Rivera weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces after Wednesday’s unplanned delivery. “We were expecting her to arrive via a scheduled C-section on Thursday morning. She had other plans!”

“We are thrilled to announce the birth of our baby girl, Grey Hunt Rivera. Proud big brother [Mars Hunt, 3½] can’t stop talking about his new baby sister.” Hunt, 37, went on to joke that “Grey is already showing us her independent streak.”

“Grey was born at home, early Wednesday morning, after 13 minutes of sudden labor — before there was even time to call the paramedics,” according to the couple.
