A heart warming video has emerged of a three-year-old boy beaming with joy as he sees his parents' faces for the first time after trying on new glasses.
Jaxon Emberton was diagnosed with five different heart defects after he was born on February 23, 2018.
One of those defects, Interrupted Aortic Arch, made doctors suspect that he might have DiGeorge syndrome.
The little boy underwent his first open-heart surgery when he was just 11 days old and had his second one at six weeks old.
Initially, his parents Charles Emberton and Cassie Booth did not believe he had eyesight problems until a doctor told them he could not see clearly past his nose and needed some strong lenses.
An adorable clip shows the toddler smiling as he wears his new glasses and looks at his parents in hospital.
In the video, which was filmed on April 13, Jaxon can be seen trying to remove the glasses at first before his dad puts them on again.
When he looks at his parents, his eyes light up and he beams joyfully.
Mr Emberton said: "'Once we put those glasses on him it was one of the most amazing moments.
"Seeing his little face light up when the world opened up for him was all the confirmation we needed that the glasses were exactly what he needed."
Charles said Jaxon’s reaction proved the world had now opened up for him.
He added: “Once we put those glasses on him it was one of the most amazing moments.

The clip was shared widely on social media and attracted comments by numerous people.
Jaxon's parents said: "It's amazing to read all the comments and see just how his smile can brighten someone's day."
His mum later wrote on social media: "Until recently, we had no idea how bad Jaxon's eyesight really was.
"'He adapted so well for someone who couldn't really see anything, at least not with any kind of clarity, past his own nose.
"My heart has been broken for weeks since we found out. Today Jax got his glasses! And for the first time, he can actually see his surroundings! My heart is so full right now!"
By sharing the video, Charles and Cassie hope to raise awareness of their son’s condition.
The toddler, who spent the first 255 days of his life in hospital, has had to undergo two surgeries and will have at least two more in the future.
The family, from Birmingham, Alabama, is currently raising funds for a new vehicle, which will help accommodate Jaxon’s wheelchair and equipment as he grows older.
DiGeorge syndrome is a condition present from birth that can cause a range of problems including heart defects and learning difficulties.
It is caused by a problem with a person's genes, called 22q11 deletion.
