Baby's Development in the Womb: 9-12 Weeks Pregnant

Stella DantasMD OB/GYN: When you're nine to 12 weeks, your baby is going through a really active time of development.

Joseph MurphyMD OB/GYN: The remainder of the fetal organs are being formed. The baby's heart has the four chambers, the kidneys are there, the stomach, the bladder.

Stella DantasMD OB/GYN: You'll start to see their fingers form, you'll be able to see their eyes on the ultrasound. The baby will really look like a baby on the ultrasound. It's the first time you really look at that baby and you can really see the entire outline of the structure.

Joseph MurphyMD OB/GYN: You can sees development in the brain, spine and all of the organs. From the 12th week on, the baby just grows.
