At a ᴄᴇʀᴛᴀɪɴ ᴘᴇʀɪᴏᴅ of life, every person starts thinking about becoming a parent. Some people decide to have a baby at ᴀ ʏᴏᴜɴɢ ᴀɢᴇ, while others find it better to have kids at an ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ ᴀɢᴇ, when you already have enough life experience, career. Mom Sharon already has four older children, but she decided to get ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ and have more babies with Stuart, whom she met at the dating site. She had spent £15,000 on ⒾⓋⒻ, and is extremely happy that everything worked out well.
Sharon Cutts, 55, and boyfriend Stuart Reynolds who is 15 years met four years ago, ᴄʜɪʟᴅʟᴇss Stuart wanted to start a family. But Sharon had started the ᴍᴇɴᴏᴘᴀᴜsᴇ. Her only option was ⒾⓋⒻ, where ᴀɴ ᴇɢɢ ɪs ʀᴇᴍᴏᴠᴇᴅ from another woman’s ᴏᴠᴀʀɪᴇsand ғᴇʀᴛɪʟɪsᴇᴅ with Stuart’s sᴘᴇʀᴍ ɪɴ ᴀ ʟᴀʙ. In the ⓊⓀ the ⓃⒽⓈ will only provide the process up to the ᴀɢᴇ of 42, so the couple turned to a private London ᴄʟɪɴɪᴄ. They paid £14,800 in December 2014 with a £10,000 loan and their wages, but were left ᴅɪsᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴇᴅ as the ɴɪɴᴇ ᴇɢɢs they had been ᴅᴏɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ ᴀɴ ᴀɴᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜs ᴅᴏɴᴏʀ ᴅɪᴅ ɴᴏᴛ sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴇ in Sharon’s ᴡᴏᴍʙ over two attempts. They then flew to Cyprus for a third procedure, which was a success.
Sharon said: “We got another loan out for £5,000 to try ⒾⓋⒻ again. We focused on Cyprus as they do ⒾⓋⒻ on people up to the ᴀɢᴇ of 60. We chose an ᴀɴᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜs ᴅᴏɴᴏʀ in July, we picked because of her likeness to me from the description. Incredibly, three ᴇᴍʙʀʏᴏs sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴇᴅ. Two weeks after the procedure I took a test at work and I was ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ. I couldn’t wait to tell Stuart, who was over the moon. We both couldn’t believe our eyes when the scan a few weeks later showed we were having three babies. We was sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ and I was in tears, crying with joy .” The ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ was ғʀᴀᴜɢʜᴛ with problems and Sharon had to spend 11 weeks in ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ to ensure the babies were ᴅᴇʟɪᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ sᴀғᴇʟʏ. At one stᴀɢᴇ ᴅᴏᴄᴛᴏʀs advised her to consider ᴀʙᴏʀᴛɪɴɢ ᴏɴᴇ of the babies ᴅᴜᴇ to the ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀs of ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ at her age.
She said :”Dᴏᴄᴛᴏʀ advised we get ʀɪᴅ ᴏғ ᴏɴᴇ ʙᴀʙʏ, because of my ᴀɢᴇ and ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀs ᴏғ ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ ʙɪʀᴛʜs. But I said no. If they ᴛᴏᴏᴋ ᴏɴᴇ ᴀᴡᴀʏ there’s ᴀ ᴄʜᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴏғ ʟᴏsɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴛʜᴇʀ ᴛᴡᴏ. The ᴅᴏᴄᴛᴏʀ ᴄʟᴀɪᴍᴇᴅ I was ᴀ ʜɪɢʜ-ʀɪsᴋ ᴘᴀᴛɪᴇɴᴛ, because of my age. If I wasn’t in the ᴘᴇᴀᴋ ᴏғ ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ I wouldn’t have done it. I ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴘᴜᴛ ᴡᴇɪɢʜᴛ on and I don’t even have sᴛʀᴇᴛᴄʜ ᴍᴀʀᴋs.”
Sharon told how she also ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴇᴅ herself to fresh hair extensions. She said : ” I’ve been trained by a Dᴏᴄᴛᴏʀ to ᴀᴅᴍɪɴɪsᴛᴇʀ Bᴏᴛᴏx. I gave myself ᴀ ᴅᴏsᴇ while I was staying in the ᴍᴀᴛᴇʀɴɪᴛʏ ᴡᴀʀᴅ for 11 weeks. I only ɪɴᴊᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ ᴀ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ʙɪᴛ, because really you shouldn’t do it while you’re ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ. I sɴᴇᴀᴋᴇᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ to get my hair extensions changed too. It was important to me to look my best for when the babies were born. I’ll keep up the Bᴏᴛᴏx and getting my nails done. I want to look like Barbara Cartland when I’m in my 80s. I’m ɴᴏᴛ going to let myself look like ᴀ ɢʀᴀɴɴʏ. I’m young at heart, I’ve never felt 55. Up until I conceived I was going weight training and doing body-building. I worked four night shifts a week on the ward and would spend the rest of the time down the gym. There was no time for an easy chair in front of the TV. I don’t feel any different with tiredness than I did with my other children. A friend said I’m an inspiration to her mates who are older. They can’t believe what I’ve achieved. I say don’t give up, just try.”
But she did ɴᴏᴛ have an easy ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ and at 23 weeks started to ʙʟᴇᴇᴅ. On March 21, the triplets were born by Cᴀᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ at Nᴏᴛᴛɪɴɢʜᴀᴍ Uɴɪᴠᴇʀsɪᴛʏ Hᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ. They each weighed between 4lbs and 5lbs. They now face carrying out 24 feeds and 21 nappy changes a day. Her older kids regularly come to visit. Her youngest grandson is only five weeks older than the ᴛʀɪᴘʟᴇᴛs too! They are happy parents of three amazing children Mason and Ryan, and daughter, Lily.
